Preferences

OpenRep SYNOPSIS is a highly customizable application, that allows changing its behavior. To access the preferences, click the File | Preferences main menu item.

Repertories

In the repertories section, it is possible to set the repertory that should be opened on the startup by selecting it in the Open on startup list.

The Remedy relations section specifies which repertory to use to explore the remedy relations.

Events

The events section specifies, what should happen when double-clicking a remedy name in the program. It will be either displayed in the reversed materia medica, or in the materia medica browser. This behavior can be changed here, or simply right-clicking a remedy in the program and selecting Automatically open in... item in the newly opened popup menu.

General

The general section allows to change the OpenRep main header to contain the text specified in the OpenRep header text item. The Automatically display cross-references specifies, whether the cross-references should be displayed automatically in the repertory contents section, or whether they should be hidden and displayed only in the symptom details. Turning the option off slightly increases the operating speed of OpenRep SYNOPSIS.

Symptom grades

This section allows to specify custom symptom grade names and their values. These new values will then be reflected in all the repertorizations.

PMS

In this section it is possible to allow Opening PMS on the startup and password-protecting the access to PMS.
